Orphanage Cocktail Emporium, mixology time!

Cape Town's famous cocktail bar offers something for both regulars and those curious to experience excellence.

Opened on Orphan Street in 2012, Orphanage Cocktail Emporium's reputation has continually grown, making it one of the best bars in the world.

In a relaxed atmosphere, meet enthusiastic regulars, seasoned enthusiasts and visitors eager to discover this establishment with the air of a speakeasy. The design emphasizes a vintage style: an oversized chandelier, cocktails served in beautiful antique teacups, cushioned bench seats… Take advantage of the house specialties, to savour on the patio while listening to local DJ mixes and snacking on crayfish served on toasted buns.

Freshly prepared by owner Ray Endean, passionate about mixology, and his impeccable team, elixirs are centre stage – to drink in moderation, of course. he More Tea Vicar? (vanilla-infused vodka with rooibos syrup, lemon and cranberry juice and a dash of egg white), or the Swim & Tonic (chamomile-and-grapefruit-infused gin, tonic and cucumber) keep their promises. “Inventiveness and creativity” could be the Orphanage Cocktail Emporium's mantra.
