Christ the Redeemer and a spectacular view over Rio de Janeiro

Perched atop the Corcovado mountain, the 2,300-feet high Christ the Redeemer is one of the most famous statues in the world. Conceived by French sculptor Paul Landowkski, the 98-feet tall and 635-metric-ton monument has become the symbol of an entire country. The fastest way to reach it is to use the small red train that leaves at the foot of the mountain and reaches the top, through a tropical forest, in about 20 minutes. For the most athletic, expect 2.5 hours of climbing… and a couple of cold water bottles. Once up there, you'll be overwhelmed with one of the most famous and popular vantage points in the world. There, Christ the Redeemer opens up his arms to you. As for the view over Rio, the Maracanã stadium, the Pão de Açúcar, the Jardim Botânico, Ipanema and Leblon, it is so magnificent you will soon forget about your efforts to enjoy it.

Hong Kong as far as the eye can see

It is said there is no way around Victoria Peak, the city's highest ground. In order to reach the premises, a cable car connects the Central business district to the top. During the trip, which is only 7 minutes long, you'll already feel the charm of a city which skyscrapers parade in front of you and reveal a striking picture of Hong Kong.
During the ascension, your gaze will yield to Hong Kong and Kowloon's beauty. Once on top, enjoy the extraordinary view, way over the Hong Kong Territories, as far as Macao and Continental China actually. You will also discover a bucolic, wild and authentic city, with long beaches and dizzyingly high mountains. We recommend you to avoid going on foggy days… And if you want to crank up on emotions, why not take the trip once more, this time at night?

Paris in all its splendour, seen from Sacré-Coeur

Just a few miles from the Eiffel Tower, three gigantic white domes sit atop Montmartre hill, from whence one of the most beautiful panoramas of Paris can be seen. To enhance the experience, you can walk from the centre of Paris (45 minutes from Place de la Concorde) or take the bus (about 30 minutes). If you decide to walk, you will stroll along some of the most beautiful avenues of the French capital, passing by the church of the Madeleine on the way. Then, after crossing the Place Blanche and its mythical Moulin Rouge cabaret, you will reach the famous Montmartre stairs. For those fatigued by their effort, they'll be relieved to know that in less than a minute, a cable car can take you up the last steep section to the top!

Located on the highest point of the City of Light at an altitude of 426 feet and nestled amongst ancient trees, the Sacré-Coeur Basilica (or Sacred Heart Basilica) offers a breathtaking view of Parisian rooftops. From the heights of this monument built in the late 19th century, you can try and make out the silhouettes of some of the most well-known monuments: the Pantheon, Notre Dame, the Centre Pompidou, the Saint Jacques Tower and even the Louvre!

Miradouro da Graça for a romantic view

Like an open-air museum, Lisbon enjoys remarkable panoramas that will let you consider the finest details of the city by moving up to the heights. The miradouros, or belvederes, offer a unique perspective on the city, like a “view from above”, far from the urban bustle. The Miradouro da Graça, one of the most captivating places, provides a unique setting for Lisbon lovers to take in a majestic view of downtown Lisbon, the São Jorge castle, the old district of Alfama, the Tagus River and the Ponte 25 Abril (Bridge of 25 April). From the highest hill in the capital, indulge in a few minutes of calm and make the most of the nuances of the old city. For an enhanced experience, come at nightfall when the city lights up. At its origin, this belvedere is a homage to the Portuguese poet Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, for whom Lisbon was a source of inspiration. Will you be as charmed as she by the sights?
